If you need a sign that summer is officially under way, put yourself on Main Street in Louisville this Friday night. June 12th marks the opening of the 2015 Louisville Downtown Street Faire—a summer favorite in this community renowned for its stellar quality of life, and no wonder.

Music, food, cold drinks, art, children’s activities, and crafts are on deck every Friday night through August 14. The Faire runs 5 to 10 PM, with FREE music from 6:30 to 9 — rain or shine.

Mark your calendars — the line-up is stacked with favorites:

Visit the Faire’s website ahead of time so you know the rules. Worried about parking? The Street Faire Bike Corral is located due west of the Steinbaugh, behind Bittersweet and next to Por wine bar. Remember to bring a lock.

Not a biker? Take the FREE Faire Shuttle, new this year. Park in the designated area of the Hobby Lobby parking lot and look for the red shuttle flag. You’ll be dropped off and picked up in front of the Louisville Museum at 1001 Main Street. The shuttle runs 6-10 PM.

Markel Homes is proud to be a 2015 Street Faire sponsor. Stop by our booth and say hello. One more thing: Kudos to the organizers for hosting a Zero Waste event. Well done.
